ROCHESTER - Juston McKinney's comedic material is always brilliantly fresh, unfiltered and prone to prompt cascading belly laughs that ripple like rolling thunder through the state's White Mountains.
Expect Saturday night's show at the Rochester Opera House to be no different.
McKinney, who grew up in Portsmouth and Kittery, Maine, draws much of his material from living on the Seacoast and in New Hampshire.
But one of the bits he'll do on Saturday has more of an international flair.
"Yeah, I took the family on a cruise to Mexico," he said during a telephone interview on Tuesday.
He paused then quipped, "They didn't let us take food off the boat."
"Then one time I went swimming with the dolphins and a dolphin assaulted me under water. And one time as we were coming back (to the states) I got into an argument with my wife over me wanting to take a nap."
He paused a moment again, then reflected, "Yeah, I don't think I gave away any of the punchlines."

McKinney, who formerly worked as a York County Sheriff's deputy, left the force in 1997 to pursue his comedic career in New York, where he worked all the big comedy clubs including Stand-up New York, Dangerfield's and Gotham.
He later moved to Los Angeles as his career took off, appearing in a half-dozen Comedy Central shows and on the "Tonight Show" with hosts Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien. He also got some roles on TV series "The King of Queens" and in films such as "The Zookeeper" and "Here Comes the Boom."
Iin 2006 he returned to New Hampshire and a bought a home in Newmarket where he lives with his wife, two sons and a couple of dogs.
The majority of McKinney's humor is drawn from his personal experiences of being a husband, a parent, his marriage and raising his two boys. He also sprinkles in some local and national topics.

"I just give my point of view on whatever situation I'm discussing," he said. "Once in a while I'll push the envelope, but not too much."
Recently he produced a one-hour standup special called "Juston McKinney: On the Bright Side," which has gotten 534,000 views and is available for free on his Youtube channel. To view it click here
