PORTSMOUTH - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will conduct overnight work on I-95 Northbound in Portsmouth on Wednesday between the hours of, 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Weather permitting, crews will remove the concrete barrier and begin demobilizing construction equipment. This work will require closure of the right lane and shoulder on northbound I-95 between mile markers 14.8 and 15.2.

This work is part of the construction of two sound abatement walls and privacy fence along I-95 in Portsmouth. Northeast Earth Mechanics, Inc. of Pittsfield, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $18.7 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2026.
