DOVER - Nicole Isaak Moore died on Monday, August 2, 2021 in Dove at the age of 57 after a courageous two-year battle with triple-negative breast cancer.

Nicole was a beloved community member of Durham, where she lived from 1993 to 2021. She worked as a part- time librarian at the Durham Public Library for 18 years, while raising two children and volunteering to lead a variety of local initiatives including the annual Durham Day Celebration at Wagon Hill, the Moharimet Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization and the library's own Alzheimer's Cafe. Nicole cherished the simple beauties of life--time spent with family, walks with friends, flowers and snowstorms, delicious food, and an array of art and music. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile will never be forgotten by those who love her.

Nicole grew up in Westmoreland, where she met many of her close friends and graduated from Keene High School. She studied communications and graduated from the University of New Hampshire, a school where both her grandfathers graduated before her and where her children would later graduate. Her love for cooking brought her to the Chez Boucher French Cooking School in Hampton in 2009 and inspired her to sell farmers market baked goods with two friends as the SunFlour Baking Company. She found adventure through traveling with her loved ones and an annual trip to the top of Mount Washington as a volunteer cook for ten years. She found peace at Capitol Island, Boothbay, Maine, where she visited in the summer with friends and family all throughout her life. She took great pride in the friendships and relationships she cultivated over time and stayed connected to almost all of them until the end.

Nicole is survived by her loving partner Bill Leslie, her daughter Olivia Moore, her son Garrett Moore and his fiance Allissa Younan, and their father and close friend Gregg Moore. Nicole is also survived by her brother Nick Isaak and his family Maria, Ben, Ted and Sophia, her sweet mother Jackie Isaak, her dear aunts Carolyn Isaak, Pat Peek, Jenny Magnuson and Uncle John Coyne, and her many loving cousins. She is predeceased by her father Nick Isaak, who died at Hyder Hospice House in 2011. Her wide but deeply connected circle of friends and family will miss her tremendously and will embody her kindness, courage, and joy in her remembrance. Her spirit can be found in the hills of Westmoreland, the forests of Durham, the ocean breeze of Boothbay Harbor, and the wild winds of the White Mountains.

Nicole's love will live forever within those she touched.
