Norma Blake ... Rochester Garden Club member; at 88

BERWICK, Maine - Norma Ann Blake (Remick) died peacefully on Dec. 1, 2023, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H.

Norma was born in Wolfeboro, N.H., on April 18, 1935. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School class of 1953. She remained the class treasurer. Her class reunion was Aug. 26, 2023.

She married Thomas E, Blake who predeceased her May 30, 2018, along with her parents Norman M. Remick Sr. and Ethel L. Evans Remick and her brother James Remick of Florida.

She is survived by her brother Norman Remick Jr. of Delaware and his wife Mildred and 3 children Jean Marie Eisenstat of Somersworth, N.H., Sharon Ann Chambers (Blake) of Berwick, and Bruce B. Blake of Alston, Mass. She has 6 grandchildren.

Norma was devoted to Emmanuel Advent Christian Church of Rochester, N.H., and many wonderful summers at the Christian Conference Center of Alton Bay, N.H.

Norma was a past member of the Rochester Garden Club and attended the Historical Society of Rochester. She also served 20 years as an usher for the Rochester Opera House.

She enjoyed her living as a homemaker, wife, mother and seamstress.
