Obit: David R. Austin ... avid Red Sox, Patriots fan

ROCHESTER - David R. Austin died unexpectedly on January 20, 2014 from complications of a lengthy illness. Born on July 31, 1960 to Carl and Jeannine (Turmelle) Austin, he was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many in and outside of the community in which he resided.

Dave dedicated his life to his loving family, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan for many years. He also enjoyed camping and fishing whenever he could, and his sense of humor was a source of joy and laughter to all who knew him.

David is survived by his wife Carla Austin of Rochester, daughter Amy Austin of Manchester, grandson RJ Austin of Rochester, brother Donald Austin and his wife Robyn of Somersworth, sister Debra (Austin) and her husband Darin Diamant of Rochester, sister Diane Desilva and her significant other Richard Davidson of Dover, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also had a special relationship with his sister-in-law Sherrie Ayers and her son Christopher Trask. David was predeceased by his parents and his son, Ryan Austin.
