ROCHESTER - Edward "Mike" Deal Jr, 60, of 54 Sampson Road, died Tuesday, November 4, 2013, at the Maine Medical center of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born August 21, 1953 in Greenville, Miss., he was the son of Edward M Sr. and Martha M (Pond) Deal Hatter

Mike had lived in Arizona for 21 years until he moved to Portsmouth then Rochester where he had settled for the past 14 years. He grew up in Sharpsville, Pa., and attended Hickory High School. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of APA and TAP pool players associations, and a member of the Bass Fanatics and State Line Bass Anglers. Mike was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and the many friends he had made hunting, bass fishing and playing pool.

Members of his family include his wife of 16 years, Robin (Auger) Deal of Rochester, his sons; Michael Deal and his girlfriend Leticia Silva of Rochester and Edward Deal III and his wife Shannon of Rollinsford, his daughters; Tracy Deal of Albuquerque N.M. and Amanda Deal of Rochester, his mother Martha Hatter of Vienna, Va., his stepchildren; John Mercer of Somersworth and Elizabeth Mercer of Rochester. He has 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, his sister, Vicki Rosado of Florida. He was predeceased by his father Edward Deal Sr.
