ROCHESTER - John D. Lindsey, 48, of Rochester, died September 28, 2013, after a long illness. He was the son of Christine R. and David "Dick" Lindsey, also of Rochester.

John grew up in Groveland and Salisbury, Mass., always maintaining a sunny disposition and a magnetic personality, traits he passed on to his kids. He spent many years in the construction industry, operating earth-moving equipment. He enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends, who will forever be saddened by his loss.

Besides his mom and dad, he leaves behind a daughter, Casey Lindsey of Dover, and son John Lindsey and his wife Amanda, of Farmington, as well as caring former wives Nancy Malinowski of Farmington, and Kim Lindsey of Dover. He is survived also by brothers Robert and wife Alice of Rochester, Richard of Rochester, Michael and fiance Paula Morris of Billerica, Mass., David and wife Patricia of Georgetown, Mass., Charles Willis of Lee, and James Willis of the Dominican Republic. He is predeceased by a brother, Peter Willis. John is also survived by innumerable uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will all miss him greatly, most notably Jennifer Lindsey of Rochester. He also leaves behind his devoted, longtime companion, Joan Tew of Seabrook. 

 

ARRANGEMENTS

To celebrate John's life, there will be a memorial service at Grace Community Church in Rochester (159 Rochester Hill Road) October 3, at 11 a.m.
