ROCHESTER - John O. Hart, 91, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home after a period of failing health.

John was born in Pelham, on August 6, 1922 the son of Montgomery and Hazel (Chisholm) Hart and had been living in Rochester since 1958, moving from Wrentham, Mass. He served with the Navy as a fighter pilot in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of the Rochester Country Club for 35 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

John leaves behind his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Hart of Rochester, two daughters, Susan E. Hart of Medford, Mass. and Dr. Valerie A. Hart of Portland, Maine, as well as four grandchildren, Glen and Michael Hart and Paige and Erin Hart-Smith, and a good friend David Morrison.
