LEBANON - Margaret M. (Cheyne) Potter, 86, of Lebanon died suddenly on July 27, 2013.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on August 8, 1926, of Scottish immigrants, Margaret J. and David J. Cheyne, she grew up in St. John, New Brunswick. 

She moved to the United States when she married the late Brewster H. Potter, Sr., of Boston. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by sons, David of Raymond, and Brewster H. Jr., and his wife Joanne of Lebanon, Maine, daughters, Sarah Jane and partner Kevin Blood of North Berwick, Maine and Lois Bennett and her husband Daniel of Eliot, and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Gordon Potter. She is also survived by her in-laws Thelma Potter, C. Thomas Potter and his wife Barbara, and nieces and nephews.

She was a beloved friend to all, a talented artist, and a life-long community volunteer, including serving as a member of the Dorcas Society for many years. 

To celebrate her life, a gathering for family and friends will take place at her home on Friday, August 9th from 2-6 p.m.
