CHAMPION, Ohio - Michael Shutt, 55, formerly of Lebanon, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at his residence in Champion, Ohio, following a battle with lung cancer.
He was born April 18, 1958, in Waltham, Mass., the son of James and Huguette Proulx Shutt.
Michael worked as maintenance manager at Concord Nursing Home in Cortland, Ohio.
Survivors include a brother, Peter (Shelly) Shutt of Rochester; his fiancee, Carolyn Reed of Champion, Ohio; his niece Angelic (Dan) Debutts of Lebanon; his nephew Jon (Monique) Shutt, of Milton Mills; and his nephew Keith (Kelli) Shutt of South Berwick.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Shutt, and by his parents.
Cremation will take place in Ohio and Michael's ashes will be taken back home to Maine.
A memorial service will be held for Michael this summer in Lebanon, and the date will be formally announced.
