ROCHESTER - Rosemary G. Anderson, 90, of 2 Sweetbriar Lane died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. at her home after a long illness.

She was born June 11, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Merle) Greeley. Mrs. Anderson had resided in Rochester since 1964, previously living in Franklin Park, Ill. She worked as a bookkeeper for Western Electric and retired from Riverside Rest Home as office manager. When she moved to New England she came to embrace this area enjoying going to the ocean, walking, playing bridge, gatherings with friends, and her bowling league. She enjoyed traveling and making crafts.

She was an active communicant of St. Mary Church of Rochester prior to her illness.

The widow of James Anderson who died in 2008, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Sommers and husband Larry of Redding, Calif., Catherine Ballou and husband Tim Berube of Rochester; grandchildren, Ken, Laura and David Sommers, Danielle Ballou, Cody Carpenter; 8 great=grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Greeley of Roselle, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
