ROCHESTER - From "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" to the triumphant "Oklahoma," producer/director Sharon Asher mixes homegrown costumes and a cast from ages 5 to 70 into a charming family-friendly adaptation of this classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical playing through Sunday at the Rochester Opera House.

The high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys is the backdrop where winsome farm girl Laurey Williams (Sarah Asher) and handsome cowboy Curley McLain (Dallas Freeman) play out their love story in the American West in 1906. The road to true love proves a bumpy ride for these two head-strong romantics. Beginning a new life together in a brand new state is the crowning point as the young couple bid adieu in a surrey with the fringe on top.

The play runs today and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Call (603) 335-1992 for tickets.
