Old-timey Rochester Christmases are focus of historical society event

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Historical Society's annual Christmas Open House, A Winter Wonderland, will be held on Dec. 8, from 1-5 p.m. at the Historical Society Museum on Hanson Street in downtown Rochester. The Museum is decorated for the holidays. The current displays focus on Rochester in the 1940s and on the Rochester Fair.

Photographs of Christmas and winter scenes in Rochester will also be on display.

Participants are invited to share their pictures of their Rochester Christmases and Rochester in the winter. Photos will be scanned and returned to owners that day.

All are welcome, and refreshments will be served. Admission is free. For more information please call 330-3099 or e-mailrochesterhistorical@metrocast.net.
