ROCHESTER - One man is under arrest and another is being sought by police in connection with a bizarre altercation in July that began during a domestic dispute on Olde Farm Lane.

Police say that on July 6 around 7:35 p.m. they were called to Olde Farm Lane for what was termed a disturbance.

When they arrived on scene it was learned that Shawn Eaton, 41, of 11 Olde Farm Lane, Apt. #2, was reportedly having an argument with his wife outside when two males including a 15-year-old who were walking by heard and saw the argument.

The older of the two, Cody A. Greenwood, 21, of Rochester, reportedly grabbed a pipe from a drum set that was outside and struck Eaton twice on the head causing lacerations, whereupon Eaton allegedly stuck the juvenile.

Greenwood and the 15-year-old are said to have then fled on foot, and were chased down the road by Eaton, who had grabbed a knife. After running after them for a short time, Eaton allegedly threw the knife at them, not striking them, then stopped running.

When police and EMS arrived. Greenwood and the teenager were not on scene. Eaton was transported to Frisbie Hospital for injuries to his head. Officers did locate Greenwood and the 15 year old later that evening.

After conducting interviews and statements police recently issued warrants for both Eaton and Greenwood.

Eaton came to the police department on Thursday a little before 1 p.m. and was charged with simple assault - a Class A misdemeanor - for allegedly striking the 15 year old and two counts of criminal threatening for allegedly chasing the two with the knife.

Police also hold active warrants for Greenwood, of Rochester, for two counts of second degree assault - Class B felonies - for the two alleged strikes to the head of Eaton.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Greenwood they can call RPD at 603-330-7128 or call anonymously to the Crimeline at 603-335-6500.
