One motorist dies, four others injured in head-on crash on Route 11

FARMINGTON - A head-on crash on Route 11 on Thursday left one motorist dead and four others injured.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m. in the area of Trotting Park Road and involved a Jeep and a Prius, police say.
The driver of the Prius died, while four people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.
Route 11 was shut down temporarily while first responders worked the scene.

A Farmington Police Officer reached today said the accident remains under investigation but that he was not able to give any additional information.
