Pair in baseball bat , BB gun attack in custody

ROCHESTER - Police have arrested both suspects in a baseball bat and BB gun assault at the Hi Vu Motor Inn on Monday.

The suspects, Tyler Janvrin, 22, of 43-1 Congress St., and Damon Austin, 32, of 43-2 Congress St., were both arrested on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at the motel around 2 a.m. on Monday when Police responded to a reported assault in which a female victim had been struck in the head and arm with a baseball bat and shot in the head with a BB gun. A male victim was also reportedly struck several times with the baseball bat and sustained injuries.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

Janvrin was cjarged wotj felony assault and burglary charges, plus two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Austin was charged with felony conspiracy to commit burglary.

Police say the incident was not a random act and that the two suspects in this case are known by the victims.

Both Janvrin and Austin will be arraigned later today.
