ROCHESTER - Patricia A. (Pierce) Burke, 73, wife of John E. Burke, died on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Allen B. and Rose E. (Clancy) Pierce.
Raised and educated in Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Girls High School, Class of 1962. Patricia was the manager at Wash, Dry and Fold Laundromat in Amesbury for 14 years. In 1994 she moved from Merrimac, Mass., to Rochester.
She was an outdoors woman who loved camping in Maine and the New Hampshire mountains. Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bingo. She was all about family, following her children's and grandchildren's sports events. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her loving husband John, she is survived by her children, Shawn Burke and his wife Mary of Danville; Christopher S. Burke and his wife Nicole of Londonderry; two brothers, Douglas E. Pierce, Peter A. Pierce and his wife Angela; her sister Anna C. Roucher of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren, Ashley E. Minervini, Jared C. Burke, Kiara N. Burke and Anthony S. Minervini; one great-grandchild, Kolton J. Scribiner.
