ROCHESTER - Paula Paruntu Carpenter, 56, of Rochester, passed away into the hands of Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sept. 7, at Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ricky Vernon Francis Carpenter of Rochester.

Paula was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She was a faithful member of the Rochester Seventh Day Adventist Church at 28 Cushing Blvd. Paula's last place of employment was at Subcom in Newington. It's been said that her co-workers enjoyed seeing Paula come to work, because she already had a smile on her face with a great sense of humor that made their day pass easily when she was present. Paula loved being around people and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was revered and loved by her family and friends.

When the church doors were open you could always find her there helping to make sure everything went smoothly, especially at church functions and whenever special speakers came to the church. Paula loved the Lord with all her heart.

Along with her loving husband, Ricky Carpenter, She leaves behind a closely devoted family, Sister Syane Paruntu, Brother Tommy Paruntu, son Pastor Yohanes Paruntu, daughter Prety Setiani and her granddaughter Salsaila Nadhifa and Tamika Lyman.
