Penalties for late dog licensing about to kick in

ROCHESTER - Dog owners who did not license their pet by the due date of April 30 will have to pay a $1 late fee per dog this month, the city announced in an email on Friday.
Starting on July 1, that will increase to a $2 late fee.
Certified letters with civil forfeitures will be mailed out the week of July 9. They carry a fine of $25 with an administration fee of $5. This will have to be paid along with the regular licensing fee.
City officials are asking that those who no longer have a dog to notify them at 603.332.2130 or send an email to: cityclerk@rochesternh.net
