ROCHESTER - Peter "Tony" A. Deegan died peacefully at home on April 17, 2021 after a brief illness.
He was born on December 10, 1931 in Orange, Mass., to John and Lillian (Dade) Deegan.
He graduated from Orange High School in 1949. He served in Korea from 1953 to 1954 during the war. He belonged to the American Legion formerly Post 172 in Orange, and American Legion Post 7 in Rochester.
He worked all his life in the grocery business and in several cities in Mass, VT, NH, and Maine.
He enjoyed history and reading, the Red Sox and Patriots.
Peter had volunteered for several years at Gerry's Food Pantry, but most of all he was a loving family man.
He was predeceased by his parents John & Lillian Deegan, his brothers John and Paul Deegan, his sisters Mary Edgecomb, Priscilla Murray, Joan Blackbird, and his twin Margaret Simonetti.
He is survived his wife of 51 years, Louine (Corriveau) Deegan, two sons, Michael & wife Michele Deegan of Rochester and Gary and wife Theresa Deegan of Moultonborough, Granddaughter Heather and husband Michael Hamilton of New Ipswich, Kyle and wife Jaime Deegan of New Durham, and Great Grandsons, Jameson and Murphy Deegan of New Durham.
