Police arrest woman, seize large amount of heroin, cash

SOMERSWORTH - A Somersworth Police investigation aided by tips from the community has yielded the arrest of a Somersworth woman and the seizure of some 40 grams of heroin/fentanyl as well as marijuana, prescription pills and cash.

Eva Knepp, 48, of 79B Franklin St., was taken into custody today after police executed a search warrant at her apartment. She was charged with felony possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia

Seized during the search were some 40 grams of heroin/fentanyl, individually packaged baggies of marijuana, various pills, $862 in cash and drug paraphernalia including scales and ledgers.

Somersworth Police put the street value of the confiscated drugs at around $4,000.

Knepp was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail with a court date later this month in Strafford County Superior Court.

Police said the investigation and arrest were the result of intelligence developed by the Patrol Division with help from tips from the community.
