Police ask for public's help in finding woman whose car was found in Ossipee

OSSIPEE - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman whose vehicle was found in Ossipee on Monday.

State Police were notified of the woman's disappearance by Lowell (Mass.) Police on Sunday.

The vehicle, which belonged to Sinead Lyons, 41, was found in the area of Ossipee Lake.

Lyons, 41, no hometown given, was last seen wearing a white coat, white knit hat and black knee-high boots. She is described as being around 5'11" and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen walking a German Shepherd.

Her vehicle is described as a 2005 White Volvo bearing Mass. Plates 926TN7.

State Police, NH Fish and Game, Carroll County Sheriff's Office, and the Ossipee Police Department continue to search for her whereabouts. There is no danger to the public, police say. Anyone with information regarding Lyons's whereabouts is asked to contact the New Hampshire State Police, Troop E, Tamworth at (603) 323-3333.
