EAST ROCHESTER - The gloved bandit appears to have struck again today, this time at the same Cumberland Farms in East Rochester he hit just a week ago.

Police say a man described as a white male about 5-foot-7 with a thin build walked into the Cumberland Farms at 2 Highland St. about 2:15 a.m., threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money.

He fled on foot on Main Street, where a K-9 track from Rochester Police held the track before losing it a third of a mile from the store where police suspect he left in a waiting vehicle.

During the robbery the suspect was wearing a blue hooded Addidas sweatshirt, a dark bandana or mask covering the majority his face, dark blue jeans and black sneakers. The suspect was also wearing leather gloves on both hands, carrying the knife with a black blade in his right hand.

The suspect’s description appears to be similar to the armed robberies which occurred on July 6 at the Shell Station located on Milton Road., the July 20 robbery of the Irving Circle K located on Gonic Road, and the July 27 robbery at this same Cumberland Farms store, police say.

The store was empty of customers at the time of the robbery. The male clerk was unhurt.
