PARSONSFIELD, Maine - A Parsonsfield man in a dispute with his live-in son over rent money and debris around the property allegedly used a front-end loader and backhoe to damage the mobile home the family lived in on Sunday.

According to a York County Sheriff's Office press release, witnesses said John Bubar, 50, of the 400 block of Pendexter Road, used the front-end loader to pick up the mobile home and drop it on the ground on three separate occasions, causing significant damage.

Even more alarming, they said Bubar started to drive the bucket into the home and only stopped when he learned that his 7-year-old grandson was inside the residence. The grandson was not hurt in the incident, which occurred around 2 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that Bubar was having a dispute with his son, Michael, 27.

Deputies arrested the elder Bubar for domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Bubar will have his video arraignment today. Bail was set at $5,000.
