Police investigating fatal shooting of man in Concord

CONCORD - State and Concord are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Concord Saturday morning.

Police responded to a call for a disturbance outside a fourth-floor apartment at 46 Warren St. just after 11:30 a.m.

Soon thereafter, the caller reported hearing gunshots. Upon arrival, police discovered one adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He received medical treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.

No further information is expected to be released until the autopsy is completed.

The name of adult male is being withheld pending notification to next-of-kin. Based on facts known at this time, there is no evidence to suggest that there is a threat to the general public. Anyone who was in the area of 46 Warren Street in Concord, NH between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and who may have information related to this incident is encouraged to call Concord Police Department at (603) 225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at (603) 226-3100.
