Police investigating fatal shooting outside riverside Dover bar

DOVER - Dover Police are currently investigating the death of an adult male Tuesday night outside Castaways Restaurant & Tiki Bar.

Police were called to the riverside eatery on Cocheco St. around 10 p.m. and found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound, according to a release today from the state Attorney Generals Office. The man died from his injuries.

His identity is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified.

An autopsy will be performed today by the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner's Office.

The police believe they have identified all the parties involved in the incident and there is no evidence to suggest that there is a threat to the general public. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
