ROCHESTER - A 62-year-old Rochester man was arrested on Sunday after police say he posed as an undercover officer at Amazon Park where he said he was going to arrest several individuals.
The incident unfolded around 5:45 p.m. when officers responded to 105 Whitehouse Road after it was reported that a male was saying he was a police officer and was going to arrest people.
Officers were told the suspect was driving through the park, stopping and telling residents he was an undercover police officer. When questioned and asked to see his badge, Stewart said he did not have one, but could arrest the residents.
Lamont Stewart, of 105 Whitehouse Road, was charged with false personation and held without bail pending his Monday arraignment.

False personation is a Class B felony punishable by three and a half to seven years in state prison.
