Police: Medical emergency likely factor in crash that killed Sanbornville man

MILTON - A Sanbornville man was killed early today when his pickup truck crashed in the area of Exit 18 in Milton.

State Police along with Milton and Wakefield Fire and EMS responded arpimd 1:35 a.m. to the Spaulding Turnpike Exit 18 Northbound on ramp.where they located a 2022 GMC Siera 2500 located about 100 feet off the roadway in woods.

After conducting an initial investigation, the truck in believed to have been driving the wrong way along the Exit 18 on-ramp toward the highway. according to a Dept. of Safety press release sent out today.

For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle departed the roadway, continued down an embankment and into woods.

Michael Riley, 55, of Sanbornville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police say a medical emergency appears to have been a contributing factor to the crash.
