Police on lookout for dark sedan involved in pedestrian hit-and-run

DOVER - Dover Police are on the lookout today for a black sedan with New Hampshire plates that is suspected to be the hit-and-run vehicle in a Tuesday incident in the downtown.

On Wednesday police released surveillance images of the vehicle suspected in the collision, which left a Dover man injured.

The crash occurred in a Central Avenue crosswalk near TD Bank, after which the southbound vehicle turned west onto Washington Street.

The suspect vehicle is a black sedan with New Hampshire license plates and likely has damage to the front passenger side corner, police said.

The pedestrian who was hit, 37-year-old Shane McCall of Dover, remains hospitalized at Wentworth Douglass Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
