SANFORD, Maine - Sanford Police are on the lookout today for what may be a serial sexual predator after several women across the city and region reported to police that a man had exhibited, "sexually explicit behavior," according to a Sanford Police detective.

On Saturday Sanford Police received several calls from concerned citizens about a male exhibiting sexually explicit behavior, including near two city Aroma Joe's.

The male was reported to have made inappropriate sexual comments toward females walking in various areas of the city. During the Aroma Joe's encounters, the male was reportedly touching himself sexually and attempted to gain access into the buildings. Each time the male fled prior to police arrival, Sanford Police Det. Everett Allen said.

The male is described as white, with a thin build, aged 25-35 years old, with brownish-blonde hair in a ponytail or "man bun." The male was driving a beat up, dark colored Chevrolet truck, with "Chevrolet" in big letters across the tailgate, and "4X4" on the bed. The male was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incidents.

Similar incidents have recently been reported to the Portland Police, USM Public Safety, and the Scarborough Police Department. Anyone with information regarding the incidents is encouraged to contact Detective Everett Allen with the Sanford Police Department 207-324-9170 Ext 225.
