Police on lookout for suspect in 7-Eleven heist

SPRINGVALE, Maine - Police today are on the lookout for a suspect in the robbery of the Springvale 7-Eleven on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when the man walked into the convenience store and asked for two packs of cigarettes and then demanded money.

The suspect, described as Hispanic, about 5'7'' and 150 pounds and a tattoo of a star on his neck, fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, with black sneakers and white laces. He wore a red shirt under the sweatshirt.

A K-9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful. The investigation continues, and police are asking for tips to be directed to the SPD TIP LINE at 324-9170 ext. 4.
