Police on lookout for suspect in early morning Washington Street Shell robbery

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are on the lookout today for a suspect who robbed the Washington Street Shell earlier today.

The event unfolded around 1:55 a.m. as Rochester Police responded to the Shell Station at 130 Washington St. for a reported robbery.

Upon arrival they learned that a lone male entered the store and demanded money, then fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount.

Rochester Police Officer Keith MacKenzie responded with K9 Gunner, who tracked the suspect to the Washington and Brock streets intersection where the track went cold.

The suspect is described as a white male about 20-25 years old and 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black Mossy Oak sweatshirt and camouflage pants.

Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information to call the police department at 603-330-7128. Tipsters with anonymous tips that lead to an arrest could receive up to $1,000 cash reward through Rochester Crimeline by calling 603-335-6500. Tipsters can also text the Rochester Crimeline at Crimes (274637) in the body write TEXT4CASH followed by your tip. Case number is 18-4947-OF, and the lead investigator is Det. Geoff Moore.
