Police probe criminal mischief incident at Croydon cemetery

CROYDON - State Police continue to investigate an incident in which a Croydon cemetery was vandalized when one or more vehicle made ruts by driving recklessly over the property numerous times.

The damage occurred at the Croydon Flat Cemetery located on Camel Hump Road.

Upon arrival, Troopers observed numerous ruts and tire tracks on the grass, and it appears an unknown number of vehicles purposely drove through the cemetery to cause the damage, according to a statement sent out by the Dept. of Safety on Monday.

This incident occurred between the evening hours of Thursday and the early morning hours of Friday.
