Police probe eary morning robbery in which victim was stabbed multiple times

SOMERSWORTH - Somersworth Police are investigating an early morning Canal Street robbery in which the victim was stabbed.

Police say they responded around 1:30 a.m. to a parking area near 36 Canal St, where the male victim had received multiple stab wounds during an attack by two assailants.

The victim was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed there were at least two suspects who stole personal property from the victim.

Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspects, and were assisted by NH State Police in the search. A Somersworth K-9 team of Officer Deschenes with K-9 Bravo, assisted in the search as well, however the suspects were not located.

Police have determined that this was not a random crime, and there is no threat to the general public.
