ROCHESTER - Police continue to investigate what they believe began as a road rage incident that ended with one individual being pepper sprayed.

The incident unfolded near the Rochester Walmart around 12:15 p.m. on Friday when police say it began with two vehicles merging on Farmington Road.

"The parties then pulled into the Walmart parking lot where an argument ensued," said Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham on Wednesday. "It resulted in one person being pepper sprayed."

In the police log the alleged victim said their assailant was screaming at them that they had cut them off when they were sprayed. The assailant was identified as a male.

Pinkham said police have spoken with "those we believe are involved," but it is not determined yet whether any charges will be forthcoming.

He said the investigation is ongoing and anyone that may have information or may have witnessed the incident is urged to call Rochester Police.
