Police: Rochester woman arrested after overdosing at hospital

DOVER - A Rochester woman was arrested on fentanyl possession charges on Wednesday after overdosing at a local hospital where she had been admitted.

Detectives investigating the suspected overdose at Wentworth Douglass Hospital recovered a quantity of what they suspected to be a controlled drug, which testing confirmed was fentanyl.

Lisa Chapman, 38, of 55 Lafayette St., was arrested at the hospital and released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail.

She is charged with possession of a controlled drug, a Class B felony. An arraignment is set for later this month.

Police did not disclose why Chapman had been admitted to the hospital.
