SOMERSWORTH - Investigators believe speed and alcohol were to blame in the death of a Somersworth man whose vehicle crashed into two parked and then into a house on West High Street Thursday night.

Police say the crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. in the area of 18 West High St. where a 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck heading east struck a large snowbank to the right side of the road and then crashed into two legally parked vehicles before going airborne and into a house.

Three residents were home at the time of the crash and sustained nonlife threatening injuries from flying debris. They were treated at nearby medical facilities and released.

The house was extensively damaged in the crash.

The operator of the pickup truck, Michael J. Davis, 57, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
