Police seek to ID body found near Hampton marina

HAMPTON - State and Hampton Police are investigating the discovery of a body found by marina workers while removing docks for the winter on Wednesday.

The discovery was reported around 11:50 a.m. by members of the Hampton River Boat Club who were taking the docks out for the season.

Hampton Police, Hampton Fire, New Hampshire State Police and N.H. Marine Patrol responded to 115 Landing Road in Hampton to investigate.

Police are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in an effort to identify the victim.

Safety officials did not release whether or not foul play was involved.
