ROCHESTER - The Rochester Public Library announce recently that a spirited reading competition between Rochester and Dover is under way (#NHReadingRivalry).

The contest that began March 1 encourages community members to compete by logging their reading progress on rplnhreads.beanstack.org. The friendly rivalry aims to promote a love for reading while fostering a sense of community spirit between the two cities.

"Last summer, Rochester read over 450,000 minutes during our Summer Reading Programs, and our #NHReadingRivalry Challenge is a great way for everyone to prepare for this summer," said Kaity Goodwin, Library Assistant. "Adding the competition element makes everything more fun, which is why we're using #TeamRPLNH."

For more information and general inquiries, contact Goodwin at kaitlyn.goodwin@rochesternh.gov or (603) 335-7549.
