Recovery rate inches back upward despite surge; no new deaths reported

CONCORD - New Hampshire DHHS announced 624 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Tuesday, for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 5.9 percent.

The newly identified cases include 66 minors and 69 from Strafford County.

Locally, Rochester shows 133 current cases, while Dover has 176, Somersworth has 38, Farmington has 49, Strafford has 23, Barrington has 39 and Milton has 21.

DHHS announced no new deaths.

It's also notable that even as 624 new cases were identified, the state's official "Recovered" figure went up another percent in one day, from 80 percent on Monday to 81 percent on Tuesday.

There are currently 297 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.
