CONCORD - Some of the best canoe and kayak adventure films from around the world will be shown at the Reel Paddling Film Festival at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Red River Theatres, 11 South Main St., in Concord.
Tickets are $12 in advance at www.northernforestcanoetrail.org, or $15 ($12 for students) at the door.
The event includes many of the year's best paddling films, including whitewater, adventure, canoeing, sea kayaking, and instructional.
Hosted by the N.H. Fish and Game Department, the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, and the Contoocook River Canoe Company, the event is intended to help participants build connections to the larger paddling community. NRS, maker of innovative paddling apparel and accessories, co-sponsors the event.
The Contoocook River Canoe Company will be on hand with a raffle and information on paddling destinations around Concord.
Event proceeds benefit the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile network that links the waterways of New York, Vermont, Québec, New Hampshire, and Maine. Through collaborative community partnerships, the trail contributes to the economic resilience of the region and promotes the health of its lands and waters.
