Retired Rochester Schools maintenance man dies of COVID; 1,045 new infections

ROCHESTER - A longtime Rochester Schools maintenance worker and former Elks Club Exalted Ruler has succumbed to COVID-19 in Florida.

Harold M. "Butch" Frank, 80, of Rochester, and a winter resident of Nokomis, Fla., died on Wednesday at the Sarasota (Fla.) Medical Center.

Prior to his retirement Frank was employed by the Rochester School Department. He also worked at the Rochester Country Club.

Beside being a two-time Exalted Leader for the Dover Elks, he was a former Senior Vice-Commander of the Somersworth Post #69 American Legion.

Meanwhile, DHHS announced 1,045 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Monday, for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 6.8 percent.

The newly reported results include 78 new positive test results from Wednesday for a new daily total of 1,157; 244 new positive test results from Thursday for a new daily total of 798; 423 new positive test results from Saturday for a daily total of 485; and 300 new positive test results from Sunday.

Of those with complete information, there are one 116 minors and 54 from Strafford County.

Local current case numbers show Rochester at 82, Dover at 88, Somersworth at 40, Barrington at 14, Strafford at 12, Milton at 11 and Farmington at eight.

DHHS also announced two additional deaths related to COVID-19, a man and woman from Hillsborough County, both over 60.

There are currently 185 individuals hospitalized in New Hampshire with COVID-19.
