DOVER - Richard C. "Dick" Currie died on Sunday June 21, 2018. Born April 17, 1948 in Portsmouth, N.H., where he attended local schools, he was the son of the late Cecil Currie and Letha (Grant) Currie of Eliot, Maine.
Richard was a mechanic employed at Lafolla Industries for 28 years followed by 14 years with Wakefield Material/Aggregate Industries. He retired in 2010.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susan Currie of Dover, his mother Letha Currie of Eliot, Maine; a son Jason and his wife Felicia Currie of Brentwood, two daughters, Tammy Currie of North Carolina, Bonnie and her husband Bill Rollins of Barrington; four sisters, Joan Yoho of Portsmouth, Anita and her husband Hermon Shook of South Carolina, Brenda Currie of Eliot, and Donna Dube of Rochester; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Also known as Bump, Richard will be missed deeply by his grandchildren, Brittaney (Rollins) D'Andrea and her husband Michael of Milton, Bridgette Rollins of Barrington, and her boyfriend Steven Carlberg of Dover, Hayla and Tyler Currie of Brentwood, Adam Inman of Haverhill, Mass., Kasey Willey of Ohio, and Brendon Nagel of South Carolina.
Richard was predeceased by his father Cecil Currie, and two sisters Annette Doll and Shirley Matotte.
