ROCHESTER - Richard Thompson, 73, died Friday, September 8, 2017, at his home following a sudden illness. He was born in Natick, Mass., October 23, 1943 the son of Howard and Ina Claire (Richard) Thompson.
Dick, as he was known by family and friends, was a dedicated husband, father and brother.
In his retirement years, he would frequently travel with his wife, spend time on adventures with his son, he had a contagious laugh a gentle, soft demeanor.
He had been employed as a lineman with New England Telephone, later AT&T. He served in the US Air Force. Dick and his wife, Kathleen, were partners in Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Rochester.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen (Kinnarney) Thompson of Rochester, a son Jamie of Boston, his brother Peter and sister-in-law Patty, and many nieces and nephews.
