ROCHESTER - Robert D. Cook, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born October 18, 1941, in Brentwood, NH, he was the son of John and Louise (Dionizo) Cook, Sr.

Bob worked at Simplex for over 40 years and owned and operated Cook's Overhead Doors throughout his career. He was a former call firefighter in Gonic. He enjoyed playing poker with the same gang for 40 years. He was well known for his generosity, selflessness and the love and pride he had for his family.

Members of his family include his wife of 59 years Elaine (Giguere) Cook of Rochester, NH; his children Michael Cook and wife Lisa of Middleton, NH; Darryl Cook and his longtime partner Megan Connell and daughter Elizabeth of Hampton, NH; one grandson Michael Cook, Jr. and wife Genevieve and one great granddaughter Eleanor Cook. His siblings George Cook and wife Mona, Helen Robertshaw and husband Tom, Ernest Cook and wife Florence, Arlene Bibeau and husband Steve, Christine Devoe and husband Rick, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings John Cook, Jr., Joseph Cook, Albert Cook, Mary Barnes, and David Cook.

A special thank you to his Cornerstone VNA Hospice Care team who supported him and his family throughout his journey.
