SANBORNVILLE - Robert J. Kennedy, 74, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 2, 2017, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Rochester, N.H., on March 10, 1943, the son of Joseph and Loretta Kennedy.
He was raised in Somersworth, N.H., and graduated from Somersworth High School in 1961. He also attended Plymouth Teachers College. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves for many years and worked for various banks and retiring from the University of NH. For the past ten years he had been employed by Walgreens, in Dover, where he enjoyed his contact with the customers and his fellow workers.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and loved local stock car racing at White Mountain Motorsports Park and NASCAR racing. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan as well as a lover of birds and animals.
He is survived by his wife, Mary T. (Terry) Kennedy and his stepson Richard (Rick) Miller, Jr., of Rumney, N.H.; a daughter Gerri-Ann Vining and her husband Michael of Dover, N.H.; his grandchildren, Richard (Richy) and Adrianna (Addy) Miller and Alicia and Ashley Vining.
