Rochester barber shop robbed; employee injured in attack

ROCHESTER - Police today are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a longtime Rochester barber shops on Friday.

Police responded to the incident at Hebert's Barber Shop on Milton Road around 8 p.m. and used a K-9 unit to track the suspect, but the scene went cold after a short distance.

It was reported the suspect entered the business and dumped snow over the employee's head before taking an undisclosed amount of money from and fleeing out of the business.

No weapon was shown, however the employee did receive minor injuries from the hard snow.

At this time there is no description of the suspect who may have fled on foot.

Anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation is asked to call Det. Flathers at 330-7128.
