ROCHESTER - Rochester teen Lexi Taylor will be heading to the National U.S.A Ambassador Pageant later this month in Florida hoping to win again and add to her Miss New Hampshire U.S.A. Ambassador Teen win.

The competition takes place the week of July 22 at the Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort in Tampa.

Taylor takes pride in this beauty pageant due to their motto being S.L.I.C.C. standing for success through leadership, integrity, character, and confidence, because these are all traits that she has herself, according to her mother, Stacia Brochu

Taylor is a member of the Spaulding High School Program, as well as the chorus, and drama club, which have helped her grow confidence through her high school years.

"She loves pageantry for mainly how it has helped her grow with confidence," said Brochu,

While preparing for this beauty pageant is important to Taylor, this doesn't let her other passions get glossed over.

She regularly attends Andrea Veal Studio to work on her vocals, as well as focuses on dance at the Corrine's Dance School.

She plans to both dance and song as part of the upcoming talent competition.

Taylor has volunteered at Gerry's Emergency Food Pantry and Share Fund Superhero Hunger Food Drive in Rochester, the Penguin Plunge that benefits the Special Olympics and her regular spot at the Children's Museum in Dover for Family Sundays.

She has taken the initiative to kick-start her own platform which is called "Be Your Best You", where she discusses and shares anti-bullying messages. She encourages youth to "be confident, kind and brave" and be "buddies against bullying."

Taylor has taken her message to local communities while reading at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Newington, Small Wonders Preschool, Saint Charles Children's Home and the Rochester Child Care Center.

Taylor has formerly won Jr. Miss Acton Fair 2015 and Miss Holly Jolly 2017 titles and placed five times at the Jr. Miss Hampton Beach Pageant.
