ROCHESTER - Rochester voters will get a chance to hear their candidates’ visions for the city Wednesday night at a forum to be held in the City Council Chambers.

The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Rochester City Hall in the City Council Chambers located at 31 Wakefield St.

All ward and mayoral candidates have been invited to attend and present their positions to the audience and answer questions from a panel of media representatives along with questions submitted from the public.

The Lebanon Voice will not be among the media entities represented, since it notified the chamber too late of its intention to attend.

The Mayor/City Council forum is sponsored by Eastern Propane and Oil.

The forum will be televised live on the Rochester Community Channel 12 and taped for rebroadcasting up to Election Day, courtesy of MetroCast.

Community members are urged to attend the forum and submit questions. Questions can also be submitted in advance, or during the live taping. Questions may be emailed to forum@rochesternh.net or phoned in during the live taping at 603-335-7557.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce sent questionnaires to all of the candidates to learn more about where they stand on various issues.

The Candidates Forum is a community service provided by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Council to provide the opportunity for the public to learn where candidates stand on important issues facing Rochester.

For more information, please contact the Chamber office at 603-332-5080 or email events@rochesternh.org.
