BRENTWOOD - A Rochester man who was arrested in a high-speed chase and fatal crash on Interstate 95 in December of 2024 was sentenced in Rockingham Superior Court earlier this week to 7-14 years in state prison.
Jordan S. Metherall, 32, pleaded guilty in January to negligent homicide and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.
The chase unfolded around 10:35 the night of Dec. 8, 2024, when State Troopers began pursuing a 2020 Hyundai Accent observed traveling more than 100 mph north on I-95.
Metherall had been previously pursued by the Massachusetts State Police for the same offense.

New Hampshire State Police followed the Hyundai off Exit 1 in Seabrook and, after the driver went down several secondary roads, the Hyundai crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 107, according to police reports.
After the crash, the driver of the Hyundai, identified as Metherall, got out of his vehicle and attempted to flee, but was quickly taken into custody by State Troopers and officers from the Seabrook Police Department.
A female passenger in the Hyundai suffered serious injuries and later died due to the crash.
By agreeing to the plea deal, Metherall avoided the possibility of a reckless manslaughter charge that carries up to a 30-year prison sentence.
Metherall, who moved to Haverhill, Mass., following his arrest, was also ordered to pay $31,000 restitution in connection with the crash.
